Organizational Culture

The image that anyone holds about an organization highly depends on its culture. A powerful and great culture drives the organization towards success and development in terms of both monitory benefits and non-monitory benefits. According to (Wong, 2020) organizational culture is a combination of values, believes, expectations, norms, and practices of all members. Organizational culture plays a significantly important role in determining the success of the company.

In general, employees align themselves with the company culture. Their level of performance, productivity, satisfaction, and motivation highly depend on to what extent employees are familiar and happy with the inside culture. When the culture prepares a comfortable climate and environment, employees become motivated by themselves and show extraordinary performance. The modern corporate world is seeking to be a part of companies while examining and observing company culture. As (Wong, 2020) emphasizes, 77% of employees highly consider the culture of a particular company before applying for vacant positions. Thus approximately 50% of employees tend to leave due to lower-paying opportunities with a considerably better culture. The culture of the company has become the main reason for retaining the job for 65% of employees.

When considering the world-famous, top companies in the world, they keep focusing on fostering a climate that encourages competitiveness, productivity, and other business goals. For instance, Microsoft company has fostered a culture where encourages continuous learning which increases competitiveness. A great culture always encourages and emphasizes alignment between desired objectives of the company and employee motivation and it provides enough space to appreciate the contribution, dedication towards the company, and hardworking. Thus a good culture always encourages cohesiveness and innovations. When employees feel as they are being valued by the company culture, ultimately they become motivated and increase productivity. A great culture is a magnet to attract a talented pool while encourage retaining with the company. Company culture has become the new way to promote business and its image.

On the other way around a poor and unfavorable culture directly influence on increasing employee turnover, creating demotivated workforce, decreasing productivity and overall performance and damage corporate image to a greater degree. Regardless of the nature and type of the business, every organization should encourage a favorable culture in order to gain massive benefits.
